Defference between elcb and rccb

MCCB
MCCB stands for Molded Case Circuit Breaker. It is some other kind of electrical protection device which is used when load modern exceeds the limit of a miniature circuit breaker. The MCCB gives safety in opposition to overload, quick circuit faults and is likewise used for switching the circuits. It may be used for better current rating and fault level even in home programs. The huge cutting-edge scores and high breaking capacity in MCCB find their use in industrial programs. MCCB may be used for protection of capacitor financial institution, generator protection and predominant electric feeder distribution. It gives adequate safety on every occasion an utility requires discrimination, adjustable overload placing or earth fault safety.

Difference between MCB and MCCB
S.No MCB MCCB
1 It stands for Miniature Circuit Breaker. It stands for Molded Case Circuit Breaker.
2 Rated modern no longer more than a hundred twenty five Ampere. Rated Current up to 1600A
3 Its interrupting contemporary score is beneath 10KA Their interrupting contemporary levels from around 10KA -85KA
4 Judging from their energy capacities, MCB is especially used for low Breaking capability requirement specifically home. MCCB is specially used for each low and high Breaking capability requirements mainly business.
Five Its trip traits are usually not adjustable due to the fact that they basically cater to low circuits. Its ride current may be constant as well as adjustable for overload and magnetic setting.

RCCB
RCCB stands for Residual Current Circuit Breaker. This residual cutting-edge device is essentially an electrical wiring tool that disconnects the circuit whenever there may be leakage of modern-day flow through the Human body or the present day isn’t always balanced between the phaseconductor. It is the most secure device to locate and experience in opposition to electrical leakage currents, for that reason make certain safety against electric surprise because of direct contacts. RCCB is commonly used in series with an MCB which protects them from over modern-day and quick circuit present day. Both phase and neutral wires are linked via a RCCB tool. These are a very powerful form of shock protection&broadly used for protection from a leakage cutting-edge of 30,one hundred & 300mA. It is vital lifesaving gadget used to protect the human frame from electric and is mandatory in many states for home installation.

ELCB
ELCB stands for Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker. They have the identical function as RCCB but are voltage sensor devise. However, this is an antique technology & is not in not unusual use. RCCB being a modern touchy device have a higher advantage over ELCB as under:

Difference among RCCB and ELCB
S.No RCCB ELCB
1. RCCB refers to ear stands for Residual Current Circuit Breaker. ELCB stands for Electric Leakage Circuit Breaker.
2. It is a new name and refers to modern operated gadgets. ELCB refers to voltage operated earth leakage tool.
Three It ensures 100% detection of leakage current& is available to experience the AC as well as DC leakage cutting-edge. It isn’t always ultimate as it could simplest discover current that waft again through the principle earth twine.
4 RCCB has no connection with the earth twine and that’s why it could experience whilst both currents (segment and neutral) are one of a kind and it withstands up to each the currents are identical. ELCB is working primarily based on Earth leakage modern. These devices measured the voltage on this planet conductor; if this voltage become not 0 this indicated a modern-day leakage to earth.
