Other buildings sitting at higher elevation have similar open roofs, even though they are not open to the ground. Again, the tall space is suitable for the sun, but it is shifting relative to the building to capture the scenery past it.
This view from the inside of the main building shows how the house opens for cleaning. Outside, the structure of the roof is all wood, but the interior is made of iron and wooden open beams. These allow longer spans and give features that are open interior.
Even if you are not far from the previous project, there is this house designed by Thielsen Architects. From this point of view, you can see that the land is far from us, just like the roof. The roof reflects the natural slope, the architect grounds the house, steep slopes above and below it.
