The State government has determined to amend the Kerala Municipality Building Rules 2019 and the Kerala Panchayat Building Rules 2019 following complaints from organisations within the construction region regarding a few clauses. The Cabinet assembly hung on Wednesday authorised the draft pointers.

It has been decided to exchange the requirement of technique street width from 10 metres to 8 metres for buildings of hospitals, educational institutions, workplaces and auditoriums above 18,000 rectangular metre.
