Meg and Steve Gardner renovated the Victorian house in Toronto. Their new kitchen is a well-designed high and low combination that seems to be much more expensive than it actually is. Nuno Teixeira of the contractor Caliber Group made it look like a special spec for space by sturdy mounting of ready-made IKEA cabinet. My family decorated the marble counter top of the island, but I saved money by installing a white Caesar stone and a low cost tile along the back wall. The precious gold pendant was designed by Palmerston Design Consultant Kirsten Marshall and was produced locally by Dean Lee, Toronto’s owner of Lampcage.
