The door of this view of the living room is the main entrance of the house. The wall with the window is in front of the house. Before Wise worked, the living room around the ceiling was covered with a layer of paint, and in some places the chunks were missing. The couple removed the trim and added a new custom woodworker made by a friend of the furniture maker. They also renovated knotted pine ceilings by applying two coatings of tung oil. They added a new baseboard with dark colors. The trim around the window is original. Wise just cleaned it up. They finished the floor which is a red oak.

In the kitchen before renovation there was a linoleum floor and a tile bar with Formica counter top. The layout did not go well. The couple robbed the space, tore the floor and set up a red oak. The new kitchen cabinet and countertop are all from Ikea. Eric added a 4-inch trim to the top of the cabinet to make it more custom-looking, or otherwise filled the trim with a gap-filled space.
