It is covered with a modern wooden frame designed to make a bold statement, covered with a black covering and emphasizes the contrast with the rich red brick of the original house. However, the extension of black is tied to the dark function of existing homes, such as window frame, guttap, tack for finishing. The entire house was greatly insulated with the best one to fit in the existing space. Because of the slope heading from the front of the property to the back, this project required a construction method to leave the ground floor level without requiring walls or new filling. It is in the character area. We sympathized with the guidelines of tradition at this house. All existing rooms stayed the original size except for the bedroom which was used as the dining room. This room is divided into two, half of the new bathroom and in the second half there is a suite of master suites behind the house. The old kitchen is a walk-in lobe of the master suite. The house layout was reworked not only to create a free flowing open plan living area but also to place all the living space locations to expose them to the southwest of the cool summer. The project took place in May 2017, the process took 15 months in total.
